Renovating My Website Again! Getting back out to pruning and gardens, not all that different than piecing together quilts!

So, now when you come to my website you will first get to my page of Habitat Harmony Design. I hope to someday make art quilts depicting our environment, which I have done somewhat with my ocean quilt, butterflies, fruits and vegetables, organic garden quilt. I also go with what fabric I have or have found. Choosing themes, making statements is my way mostly, rather than a design which often also are statements of carrying on the history of quiltmaking. I keep correcting myself as I write this!!! Discovering the depths of this "craft" that so many in the art world don't see as true art. I'm gratified that in recent years, fabric art has become more notably appreciated!!

My focus in consulting in gardens will be to bring more native plants into them. Local birds, bees and butterflies along with other insects, rely on local native plants for their food. Keystone species is now more widely known to be valuable food for parent birds to feed their young. Big fat catepillars are much better than timy insects or seeds. Oak trees are the elephants of the plant world!!
